FAQ
How Pacio works, explained.
What is Pacio?
A Pacio is a game-picking session for your squad. Everyone nominates a game, votes for their favourite, and the majority wins. No more endless "what should we play?" debates.
Mixed Pacio: anyone can nominate any game — nominations, voting, and a winner are decided by the group. Genre Pacio (e.g. FPS, MOBA): the game is already pre-set for the genre; players join and vote "ready" to start immediately.
Phases & Timers
Each player has 2 minutes to search and claim a nomination slot. Once everyone has nominated — or time runs out — voting begins automatically. If a player hasn't nominated when time expires, their slot is auto-filled with the most-nominated game already in the session, or the most popular game in the genre if nobody has nominated anything yet.
Voting starts automatically when (a) all nomination slots are filled, or (b) the 2-minute nomination timer expires — whichever comes first.
Voting lasts 10 seconds. If you haven't voted when time runs out, your vote is automatically cast for the game with the most votes at that moment. Ties are broken by nomination order (earlier slot wins).
After a 2nd player joins, a 3-minute countdown begins. Players click "Ready" to vote to skip the wait. Once a simple majority have voted ready, the countdown fast-forwards to 10 seconds, then the game launches automatically.
For Steam games, yes — a steam:// link opens the game client automatically when the session launches. For non-Steam games (Battle.net, Riot Client, etc.) a guide appears telling you how to launch it manually.
Lobbies & Rooms
Lobbies are automatically closed after 24 hours of inactivity. When a lobby is deleted, everyone in the room is redirected back to the homepage.
Public lobbies appear in the Live Pacio feed and can be joined without a code. Private lobbies are invite-only — share the code shown in the lobby header to let people in.
Your nomination is removed and your vote will not count. The session continues for the remaining players.
The room is permanently deleted.
Public lobbies: yes, just visit the link again. Private lobbies: you need the invite code to re-enter.
Nominations & Votes
No. Once a game is nominated it locks the slot. Choose carefully!
Your own nomination is automatically counted as a vote for yourself — you don't need to vote again.
The game that was nominated first (lowest slot number) wins the tie.
When the nomination timer expires, all empty slots are auto-filled with the most popular games for that genre.
When the voting timer expires, votes are automatically cast for the current leader for everyone who hasn't voted.
Invite & Social
Click the invite code in the lobby header to copy it. Share it with your friends. They paste it into "Join with Code" on the homepage.
Up to the max players set when the room was created (default 4, can be higher for genre lobbies).
