Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Pacio (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Pacio is a web-based platform that helps gaming groups decide what to play together through democratic nomination and voting.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use Pacio. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement.
- ·You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
- ·One account per person. Duplicate or impersonation accounts may be removed.
- ·You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
- ·We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3. The Service
Pacio lets users create lobbies, nominate games, vote on what to play, form groups and communities, and — where supported — trigger game launches via the Steam URI protocol on each user's own machine. We do not host, distribute, or sell games.
- ·Steam launches are triggered client-side using steam:// URIs. You must own the game on Steam for this to work.
- ·Pacio is not affiliated with Valve Corporation or Steam.
- ·Game names, artwork, and logos referenced on the platform belong to their respective owners.
- ·The Service is provided free of charge and may change or be discontinued at any time.
4. User-Generated Content
You own the content you post (lobby names, messages, community descriptions, game nominations). By posting, you grant Pacio a non-exclusive licence to display that content within the platform.
- ·No hate speech, harassment, explicit content, or spam.
- ·No impersonation of other users, teams, or public figures.
- ·No content that infringes third-party intellectual property.
- ·We may remove content that violates these rules without notice.
5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, data permanence, or that Steam launches will work on all operating systems or hardware configurations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pacio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
6. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the platform.
